GPS VISIBILITY ON UNSW CAMPUS
HOME ABSTRACT OBJECTIVES PROGRAM TESTING RESULTS
Survey planning is a useful process, essential in cases where precision or time constraints exist. When using the Global Positioning System (GPS), indeed any satellite navigation system, you rely on the position of these satellites and the surrounding structural environment. The aim of this project is to map a simulation of GPS satellite visibility and GPS satellite-receiver geometry for the UNSW campus.
These aims will be represented in the form of two digital images displaying the areas of the UNSW campus that vary in satellite visibility and geometry quality (via a graduated colour scale). The resulting images will be developed primarily for the purpose of GPS survey planning on UNSW campus grounds.
