Abstract

Georeferenced street view is the next generation street view which provides not only panorama view and maps but also 3-D position information for features. It is the revolutionary surveying method which will reduce the surveying field work. It can improve the efficiency of road maintenance, asset management, coastal mapping, city modeling and mining providing accurate point measurement, distance measurement and angular measurement as most parts of the surveying work are done automatically by computer and machine. This thesis project realised the vision point positioning by space intersection with multi overlapping images in georeferencing street view and discussed the factors influencing the accuracy of point positioning results.
