RPAS/UAS Operations

The school of Civil and Environmental Engineering, UNSW SYDNEY acquired a SenseFly SwingletCAM fixed wing UAS in 2013. The aim is to apply the state-of-the-art UAS technology in the school's research and teaching. UNSW ReOC (previously named UOC) was granted to the school by CASA in 2014. In the following years, Two SenseFly eBeeRTKs and multiple DJI multi-rotor drones including DJI M600Pro were added into the fleet. They have been utilised for teaching and research in aerial photogrammetry, surveying, geospatial engineering, civil engineering, coastal erosion assessment, environmental monitoring and construction management.
