First Round of Locate21 Plenaries Announced
Following the colossal disruption of the Covid-19 pandemic and Locate’s rapid pivot to an online format, wheels are well and truly in motion for the return of Locate proper in March 2021. Drawing on 2020’s experiences, Locate21 will take place at a core site of Brisbane convention centre, with other sites to be announced and a ‘hybrid’ format allowing attendees to participate online. The organisers have announced the first three plenary speakers for the event, along with a call for input into developing the broader programme, potential events to co-locate and activities at planned sites.
The first three plenaries on the bill are Thinkerbell founder Adam Ferrier; CEO of the Open Geospatial Consortium Nadine Alameh, and senior intelligence analyst for New York State Police, Kellen Crouse. Locate21 is running an early bird registration offer for those that register before January 22 — so start those engines.
